Origin, Ethos & Inspiration

ORIGINS

British designer Loren Taylor grew up in Africa; however, with strong ties to England, she now calls London home.  Still on a quest to see the world, Loren is skilled at packing light and travelling without comprimising on personal style.

Taking inspiration from places she has lived & explored the label- established in 2008- offers bags designed with the urban traveller in mind.  From the traditional slouchy Immi Bag, to the structured ‘work ready’ Sophie Bag & holdall inspired Kalli Bag, the current best selling styles are versatile and durable.

ETHOS

Craftsmanship and quality are fundamental.

Loren Taylor prides itself on working with skilled, traditionally trained, leather artisans using the best quality leathers and materials available to them.  The bags are hand made in limited numbers; a quiet revolt against large scale production.

The final result… gorgeous luxury quality bags that will effortlessly accompany you on your travels whether you are at home or exploring exotic far flung ‘corners’ of the globe.

INSPIRATION FOR AW11

The AW collection is inspired by African nights.  Bold ‘dare to stop me’ reds and flashes of Leopard print, gives the collection a feisty edge; she is sweet, desirable… and a little bit dangerous.

The Leather

Leather is a natural material and variation in the texture and colour is to be expected and appreciated. Overtime and with use the leather will develop even further to reflect the life that you lead. Contact with water, heat, sharp objects, chemicals and corrosive substances should be avoided, as should excessive exposure to sunlight, as these may permanently alter the colour and or texture of the leather. To help increase the life of your leather product place it in the provided dustbag when not in use and store this in a dark dry place. If you decide to treat your leather or suede product with a 'protectant' we recommend that you test a small area first to ensure that there is no undesired results.
